Our latest cover star is none other than David Rodigan MBE.

Rodigan’s impact on music culture is both deep and far-reaching. Since the 1970s, he has been instrumental in bringing reggae and dancehall to wider audiences in the UK and beyond, using his radio platforms and live performances to educate, connect, and inspire listeners. His role in sound system culture, combined with his encyclopaedic knowledge and genuine passion, has earned him respect not just as a broadcaster, but as a cultural ambassador for Jamaican music worldwide.

Reggae’s influence on dance music is undeniable...from dub disco pioneers to the foundations of deep house. And for many, Rodigan was a gateway into that world. His broadcasts became essential listening, shaping tastes and opening ears to the richness of reggae at a time when access was limited.

Decades on, Rodigan continues to resonate with new audiences, bridging reggae, house, and wider electronic music communities. His enduring relevance and the respect he commands across generations make him not just a fitting choice for the cover, but a long overdue one.

This issue of Faith is dedicated to our designer Luke Lobley.

Luke came onboard for the Spring 2024 issue and took the visual element of Faith up many levels across our last two Frankie Knuckles and Carl Craig issues.

Luke very sadly passed away during the final design phase of this issue.

We will miss him and his huge contribution massively.
